I’m gonna admit it: I don’t find him all that attractive. I mean, chest hair, yeah. But he’s kind of extra angular in that Bruce Campbell/Gaston kind of manly way which just doesn’t do anything for me.
But then his voice! And his attitude! And his humor! And the way he treats everyone in the party! And his dedication to his family, despite their insanity and backstabbing! And his love for Hawke despite all the crap (s)he puts him through! Did you know he’s the only person you have to go out of your way to rival? It takes a special level of asshole to offend Varric.
It just goes to show that judging people by their looks will rob you of some meeting some awesome individuals.
